2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Looks More Rugged With Professional Line Extras
If you know the history of the Daimler-Steyr-Puch Gëlandewagen, you know that the modern Mercedes-Benz G-Class doesn’t have to worry about its pedigree. But there’s also no harm in improving its off-road capabilities in visual terms, which is the idea behind the new professional line exterior for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Mercedes presented this one in Munich at the recent auto show, just to show buyers what is possible with this line of accessories. Standard features of the Professional line include heavy duty stone guards covering the headlights, fenders, and 18-inch wheels with tires with plenty of sidewalls. It sports an optional Copper Orange Mango paint job for ultimate pop, and some exterior trims are painted G Manufaktur Night Black Mango for contrast. Some optional professional end caps are also included, such as the spare wheel carrier and the roof rack that can accommodate a tent, both made in matte black.
The 2022 G-Class will offer (at least in Europe) a larger list of options, including interior accent lighting with 64 colors (up from just eight previously), wiring for rear seat entertainment and a tow hitch. , and a revised line of toppings and packages. We imagine that most, if not all, of the additional content will be available in the United States, but we will have to wait for the United States-specific information that we are expecting soon.
