4th Annual Memorial Ride for Scott Beers scheduled for July 23 – GantNews.com
HOUTZDALE — Family and friends of Scott Beers are finalizing plans for the fourth annual Memorial Ride for Scott Beers to be held at noon Saturday, July 23.
The event will kick off at 1115 Hale RD., Houtzdale, and will be a fun-filled day that will include a scenic ATV ride through the mountains as well as cornhole games, food, music and souvenirs.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Scott Beers Memorial Scholarship Funds which awards scholarships to graduate students from Clearfield County Career and Technology Center and Moshannon Valley High School.
Gordon and Valerie Beers, along with their daughter, Regina, and Scott’s high school girlfriend, Ashley Smith, established the scholarship funds to honor Scott and his memory while providing financial assistance to students at schools including Scott. graduated.
Scholarships are awarded each year to students who, like Scott, have overcome obstacles in life and are pursuing post-secondary education in the fields of community service and trades.
