An Alaska Airlines employee pops the question during a Pride flight to Los Angeles

Two Alaska Airlines employees are now hired after one popped the question 30,000 feet in the air on a special flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Veronica Rojas, a flight attendant in Alaska, proposed to girlfriend Alejandra Moncayo while on an Alaska Airlines flight aboard the company’s Pride in the Sky plane.
The two met on an Alaska Airlines flight in 2020, and Moncayo also works for the company as a pilot.
When Rojas came up with the idea of proposing in the air, she contacted superiors at the airline who were more than willing to make sure the proposal went off without a hitch.
On Wednesday, Rojas asked Moncayo to accompany him on a quick trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles, which was on the Pride plane.
During the flight, Rojas channeled her flight attendant training, got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend over the PA system.
She said yes.
The entire proposal was filmed and shared by Alaska Airlines.
But the romance continued once the plane landed. As the newly engaged couple disembarked and headed for the door, Moncayo herself proposed. Neither Rojas nor airline officials knew that Moncayo had planned to volunteer.
The dual proposal comes during Pride Month and coincided with the first anniversary of the launch of the Pride in the Sky aircraft from Alaska.
In the end, it wasn’t just the couple who had a rewarding experience on the flight. In honor of the special proposal, Alaska gave each person on the flight free tickets for a future flight to Alaska, the airline said.
