Tampa, Florida – Completing his swing on the road through Sunshine State, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball faces South Florida on Tuesday, December 14.
The Govs and Bulls are expected to give their opinion at 6:00 p.m. inside the Yuengling Center.

About the APSU Govs basketball team
Austin Peay State University enters Tuesday’s contest with a 4-4 overall record and just suffered an 84-91 loss to North Florida on Saturday. The Govs are 2-4 on the road this season and are averaging 73.8 points per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the field.

Junior Cameron Copeland had his best game of the season on Saturday in North Florida, posting a high of 25 points on 10 of 17 shots from the field.
Copeland was also 5 of 7 behind the three-point line to accompany six rebounds and six assists, a career-high.
Three for the Peay
Austin Peay State University leads the Ohio Valley Conference with an excellent 0.376 three-point field goal percentage. The Govs have clinched double digits in five of the last six games and have three players with double digits.
He is AU-certain
Senior Redshirt Tariq Silver leads the APSU Govs and ranks ninth in the OVC with 14.6 points per game.
Silver shoots 45.3 percent from the field and leads the team with 25 three-pointers.
Austin Peay State University is the only OVC team to make the top three in the conference in three-point field goals percentage, field goal percentage and free throw percentage.
APSU have recorded 20 or more assists in each of the last two games and rank fourth in the OVC with 15.6 assists per game.
Paez protects the ball
Junior Carlos Paez has recorded a turnover since November 29 at the TCU.
Paez leads the APSU Govs this season with 32 assists and ranks sixth in the OVC in assists per game (4.0) and second in assists-to-turnover ratio (3.2).

Following Tuesday’s game, the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team will play their final non-conference road game against Enemy of State Vanderbilt on Saturday, December 18. APSU concludes the non-conference home game on Wednesday, Dec. 22 against Western Kentucky.
