Crestron Shrinks InfoComm’s Role, Launches US Road Trip

Crestron has announced that it is reducing its commitment to next month’s InfoComm show in North America while launching a road trip across the country to the United States.
The decision was made as rates of Covid cases remain stubbornly high across the country, and particularly high in the state of Florida where InfoComm will be held.
Other exhibitors have reportedly canceled their participation altogether, including Logitech and Sony.
In an email to partners and colleagues sent this week, Crestron Executive Vice President of Global Marketing Brad Hintze announced that the company will be sending a small, experienced team to the AVIXA-hosted show that will provide a gathering space in all safety in the company’s booth. . All other aspects of Crestron’s typical presence at the show, including demonstrations, training and panels, would be canceled.
“The timing for a full-scale presence at Crestron – with our renowned booth, cutting edge training and a legendary party – is not yet the right time,” said Hintze.
The Crestron Next road trip regional events will, however, provide a closely monitored environment where small groups of guests can interact with the products and train with local Crestron representatives.
