Dutch Country Safari Park at Horse Cave adds wagon ride for fall season
HORSE CAVE, Ky. (WBKO) – Dutch Country Safari Park has added a new attraction, allowing families to have a more interactive experience with the different types of exotic animals on the farm.
“It’s really interesting,” said Sandra Williams, executive director of Horse Cave and Hart County Tourism. “You feel like part of the family when you come here and see all they have to offer. Even though the animals are a bit different from most farms, it’s a really good experience in Kentucky.
The owners of the farm built a fenced wagon so that passengers could travel through the park “like a hay walk”. During the ride, you can see and feed wildebeest, water buffalo and even zebras to name a few. The Dutch Country Safari Park also has an open petting zoo with smaller animals ranging from alpacas to kangaroos.
“This is a real Amish farm which is really unique,” said Williams. “We have several Amish people in Hart County, this community has over 200 people here and 100 businesses. We are therefore delighted to be able to include this park.
The wagon rides begin this weekend and will run until October 30. The Dutch Country Safari Park is open Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can find more information on the Dutch Country Safari Park Facebook page or at https://dutchcountrysafaripark.com /.
