Dyers and Riley for the New Celebrity Antiques Road Trip
EastEnders star Danny Dyer, his daughter Dani and Rachel Riley from Countdown are on the lineup for the new Celebrity Antiques Road Trip series.
The BBC Two show sees famous faces travel across the UK with antiques experts to uncover hidden gems and compete with their famous rival for the most money at auction.
In the upcoming 10th season, Dyer will take on his daughter and Island of love star Dani, while Riley will face her husband Pasha Kovalev, a former Come dance strictly professional.
Riley said: âComing back to my old playground in Essex, the antique areas I used to visit with my grandfather, was nostalgic in more ways than one.
“Pasha and I enjoyed the friendly rivalry while doing something from our two areas of experience, and we were thankfully still on good terms afterwards!”
Other couples who will compete to win at auction include Sky Sports presenters Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling, broadcaster Eamonn Holmes and Irish actress Victoria Smurfit, and 1980s pop couple Martin and Shirlie Kemp.
Model Jerry Hall will also be joined by psychotherapist friend Philippa Perry and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie will take on fellow BBC News colleague Reeta Chakrabarti.
Professional dancing brothers AJ and Curtis Pritchard also take part in the 20-episode series, produced by STV Studios. Curtis also appeared on Island of love in 2019.
Myrie added: âAntiques while driving through the beautiful English countryside in a fabulous sports car – what’s not to love? It was so cool!
“We reporters are a competitive bunch, and damn it, you need some sharp elbows on this show! We had so much fun on the road.”
The show teased that some of the more unusual antiques found in the new series include a WWII Special Forces sled, an 18th century plaque that has spent over 100 years on the seabed, and an anatomical cross section of ‘a worse.
Celebrity antiques road trip Season 10 begins November 2 at 7 p.m. on BBC Two.
