New York State Fair has the best weekday attendance this year on day 13
Geddes, NY – The New York State Fair on Thursday recorded its third highest attendance of 2021, according to fair officials.
44,899 people showed up for the 13th day of the show. Attendance on Wednesday was lower than on Saturday (56,820 people) and Sunday (45,304). Attendance on Day 13 was the best during the week, with almost 1,000 more participants than Friday.
33,713 of those people showed up at Nelly’s concert, making it the fifth largest concert crowd in the history of the fair.
Thursday will be Armed Forces Day at the fair. Current and former servicemen can access the fair free of charge.
There will be a small ceremony at noon in honor of the military.
The draft horses will make their first appearance at the fair on Thursday and take part in a six-horse team competition. The draft horse competition will run until Sunday.
A high school basketball tournament will begin at noon in front of the Toyota Coliseum.
The fair will also host three concerts on Thursday. BeatleCuse will debut at 2 p.m. on the Chevy Court Stage. Starship with Mickey Thomas will perform on the Chevy Court stage at 7 p.m.
The Roots will perform at Chevy Park at 8 p.m.
