QCraft has adopted a carpooling method on the new urban bus lines, successfully switching from Robobus to the Robotaxi market. Autonomous connected 5G buses have integrated the microcirculation model, fixed point support and the carpooling model, creating a whole new business model for Robobus, said QCraft CEO Yu Qian.

The CEO believed he had broken the line between Robotaxi and Robobus, offering a new solution for the “last 2 miles” challenge.

As an emerging public transport model, the manual assist buses have been tested in several Chinese cities and received positive feedback. QCraft believes that autonomous buses will involve more vehicles and passengers in the Big Data of urban transport, promoting an orderly and efficient interactive urban transport system.

The company was authorized to operate the said buses on three microcirculation circuits totaling 15 kilometers. The routes cover several complex urban scenarios such as office areas, residential areas, schools and shopping malls, connecting bus and metro nodes. Users can call the bus by entering their destinations through a mobile app.

The newly launched automated buses were built on the Robobus developed by QCraft, the Longzhou ONE, powered by its “Driven-by-QCraft” autonomous driving solution. Buses operate under a safe speed limit of 20 to 50 km / h on open city roads.
