We love long road trips in Connecticut, but there’s also something to be said for a single day of fun. If you’re looking to spend the whole day enjoying the Nutmeg State, we’ve got Connecticut Sunrise to Sunset just for you.

The total journey time is less than an hour, so it won’t take you all day and you’ll be home before bedtime! You’ll be able to witness both a sunrise and a sunset at two different beaches, and you’ll have plenty of time to relax at each destination before heading to the next.

1. Silver Sands State Park: 1 Silver Sands Pkwy, Milford, CT 06460

The Silver Sands State Park area is one of our favorite places to watch the sunrise in Connecticut. We don’t know if there is anything more magnificent than watching the sunrise from the beach!

Note that the Silver Sands parking lot doesn’t open until 8am, so you’ll have to park elsewhere and walk a few blocks to reach the beach. The views are more than worth the effort, though. You have plenty of time to relax at the beach before your next stop, so relax for a while. The park has many walking areas.

2. Northern Fish: 1499 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824,

Since we have a day at the beach, why not have some delicious seafood for lunch? Nordic Fish has a range of fresh seafood choices, but today we’re going to be buying sushi.

Nordic Fish also serves build-your-own poke bowls that offer vegetarian options.

3. Greenwich Point Park: 11 Tods Driftway, Old Greenwich, CT 06870

Once you’ve had your fill of seafood, head to Greenwich, where we’ll visit Greenwich Point Park. The Tod’s Point section of the park is one of the best places to watch a sunset in Connecticut.

The views here are amazing! It’s the perfect end to a fun day that doesn’t require a lot of planning, time or expense.

Where is your favorite place to watch a sunrise or sunset in Connecticut? We would love to hear about your experiences! Share your opinion in the comments.
