VIDEO: Expedition Everest is currently testing during the extended shutdown at Disney World

Many people say that Everest Expedition is one of the scariest (and funniest!) attractions in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Personally, we have vivid memories of being quite freaked out by the attraction of dinosaurs when we were little, but everyone is different! For now, though, you’ll have to wait if you want to climb Expedition Everest…
This popular Disney World roller coaster is temporarily closed for renovations, but we recently caught a glimpse of the action in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
According to Disney, Expedition Everest — Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will remain closed for renovations from from January 4 to mid-April 2022. By the sound of it, we’re only halfway to closing!

While the attraction is closed, the gift shop is still open, and sometimes you can even find little games outside the Expedition Everest entrance!

During our visit to Animal Kingdom, we saw the roller coaster train going up the hill! Looks like Disney is testing the ride (without anyone) as part of the refurbishment!
‼️Test 1, 2, 3 ‼️ Do you think the Yeti is suspicious of the passage of the train ✨ without ✨ guests? 👀 (It is still expected to be under renovation until mid-April) pic.twitter.com/Kj4QpYaNBi

Keep in mind that this attraction is still expected to remain closed until mid-April, but we’re happy to see the ride in test mode! In the meantime, stay tuned for all the latest Disney news and park updates!
