After a year of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cedar Point officially opens its new Snake River Expedition boat ride on Friday.
“We can’t wait to share this immersive experience with everyone,” Cedar Point officials teased on Facebook the day before the start of the race. “It’s really a ride like no other!”
In addition to featuring animatronics, Cedar Point says Snake River Expedition “is a boat ride with actors on board that takes guests on a gentle ride around the serpentine river that surrounds Adventure Island.

Guests under 46 ”must be accompanied by a supervisor and sit inside the armory bench. Service animals are also allowed to ride in the attraction.
“We have some really cool boats that were built especially for Cedar Point,” park officials said when they first announced the attraction in December 2019. “The best thing about these boats is that anyone can ride them. Literally anyone can ride them. You can bring your baby, your grandmother, your grandfather, your aunts, your uncles. Everybody.”
